LIMITLESS!!!

Recently I bought a new Matthews bow. [Hopefully you will see it in my first deer hunting video!] I had an older Matthews but decided it was time for an upgrade. anyway, I did much research online and in magazines on if purchasing a Matthews bow was worth the money. {As the Lord instructs us to be diligent with what he gives us. Proverbs 12:27 The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious. OK after that deer trail. 🤣🤣 Back to the topic as I was saying I purchased a new Matthews bow and one of the articles I read prior to the purchase had an advertisement. It said and I quote " Matthews lift x LIMITLESS." Unquote. And as I pondered on it, I got to thinking. You know I have something, [and I hope you do to.] that is a lot more limitless than any bow made or that will be made or anything in the world or outside of the world for that matter. And that something is Jesus Christ!!! I feel that many Christians fail to recognize Gods supremacy. He is the one who Created the universe and all that it holds HE is our maker. HE controls the world!! And we should recognize this much more than we do. Here is some things that we can do, and we should not do to help us recognize Gods supreme authority better and more throughout our everyday lives.

Pray throughout the day thanking God for all He does for us and do not sin against God!

Eph 5:1-4

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And Walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understandings. In ALL THY WAYS acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path.

Preperation can define success!

Recently I was reading articles and watching YouTube videos about preseason preparation for a better success rate in the upcoming deer season. The videos and articles mostly spoke on things you have to set your mind to and work to get them done. Examples would be, setting trailcams, setting new stand or blind sights, putting in food plots and much much more! The same is very much true of doing things for the Lord. God wants us to prepare for what he has planned for our future! Examples of this might be, reading memorizing and meditating on scripture, listening well in church to let the Lord speak, and a ton more! If you want to be ready for the things God has for you will prepare for it. Just as us hunters want to be successful during the deer season, we as Christians should want to be successful for the Lord!!!

Ecclesiastes 9:10a says,

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.

BE JOVIAL!

Note, in honor of my sisters saying "Be jovial" hence came the name of this post.

This buck looks pretty happy, and he has two points so I'm going to write a post on joyfulness with two points.

1. joyfulness through our actions.

When we work or we are preforming in a ministry at church or even playing a game with friends, we should have a joyful spirit. Have you ever tried to play a game or work with someone who is miserable?
It is pretty hard to be around people like that and not get miserable ourselves, so if we show joyfulness to others, it makes whatever you are doing much easier and fun.

2. Singing to the Lord. Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19

God loves it when we sing to Him and when we sing is shows others how we love the Lord and that you are a fun happy person to be around!! You don't have to sing loud or in front of everyone but even humming a little tune quietly is a great way to keep a joyful spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23.

Will you be ready?!

Will you be ready? I'm sure all of us {well anyone who has hunted very much} have had an experience where a deer almost magically appears in your view or under you setup without you noticing or even hearing a footstep. This exact thing happened when I killed my first buck. All of a sudden, I heard l two or three leaves, so I slowly turn my head, and the buck is 7 yards away! Now thankfully I was able to get another opportunity but if I had not of it would have been my fault because in the beginning, I was not ready! This same concept you can relate to your Christian life as well. As Christians we should always be looking for another opportunity to share Christ with someone.

Recently I went on a fishing trip to Florida. And on the plane ride there I had thee oppurtunity to witness to a man on the plane. We were just chatting, and I was able to share what the Lord can do for you and give Him a tract. Just as I was ready and able to witness to the man on the plane, we should all be prepared to witness in our everyday lives! I encourage you to be prepared to witness and share Christ with others from now on!!

And he said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
                                                                                                                               Mark 16:15.

Quick to run.

Have you ever busted a deer either when walking to your set up or sitting in your Tree stand? Let me ask you, what usually happens when a deer gets spooked, or something is just not right? You guessed it. They are quick to run. Now let's look at this from a different perspective. What do you or I do when something in your or my life is wrong or just not quite right? Are you quick to run from sin or do you run to it? Last year I shot a massive doe that was with a small deer and another normal sized doe. After I shot the doe, the other good-sized doe took off, but the smaller deer walked closer and stood underneath my stand. Now I would say that deer was not all to bright. So now put yourself in a position. Most people who have attended church regularly has seen someone stray and go into the world or keep continually doing something they no is wrong. so why in the world would we try the same thing? I encourage you to be quick to run from evil, today!

The Bible says in 2nd Timmothy 2:22   Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Can you prove it?

I was again looking for another blog post when I thought of this one. I was looking through a t.r.u.-ball archery magazine when I noticed their slogan, which is displayed in the photo below.

As you know many people claim to be a Christian but not everyone can prove it.                                     As a Christian, people should recognize you as a Christian. The Bible says as Christians we should be peculiar to the world.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Here are a few ways to prove your Christianity.

1. Your overall appearance
The way you dress your demeaner and the way you speak are ways people distinguish you.

2. Church attendance
If you're in Church and claim to be a Christian that is one way people identify you as a Christian.

3. What you are focusing on in your life- God or the things of this world.

These are not the things that make you a Christian, but they are things to help prove your sincerity to those around you and will also help you to be a good example to anyone who encounters you.

Start proving your Christianity, today!

Firmly grounded.

For Christmas my mom got me a subscription to fur, fish and game magazines. As I was reading through one of the magazines, I noticed an article on bow hunting that caught my attention it was called

"Firmly grounded" the article was on bow hunting from the ground, and how to do it properly. And as I thought about it, I thought of this post. As Christians we must be grounded to Jesus Christ!

One of the points of the article was on man-made blinds the author went on to say that these work, but natural blinds work better. We cannot succeed to the best of our ability by something we do by ourselves, we can do them by ourselves sometimes but doing them with Gods help makes it much better. The Author also went on to say that natural blinds work better as smarter deer are not suspicious of something that's always been there. Gods been around guiding people for a long time and everyone who has believed in Him has found that He is the best way to succeed to the full potential God has for your life! I encourage you, stay firmly grounded in Jesus Christ!!

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.  1st Cor 15:58
